Roxell Infonet

Roxell needed an extranet as a tool for business developers and vendors. The extranet user needs to find files in a user-friendly way through a clear navigation and categorization.

By using Drupal as a central CMS Calibrate built the Roxell Infonet. A high-performance extranet that is ready for the future.

Drupal is the CMS of choice for the realization of an extranet. Drupal offers a solution for much requested extranet and intranet features.

Authentication via Drupal and CRM

The Roxell infonet is equipped with the Drupal authentication system, linked to the CRM system. A user first has to log in and is given appropriate access to documents within the extranet via the roles within the CRM system.

Drupal can be configured to provide a focused, streamlined management experience for a variety of different user profiles. As a result, technical administrators have access to more functions, while profiles that are only responsible for content contributions are shown a very simple and user-friendly interface.

Clear information and navigation structure

User-friendliness is key. One of the most important tasks of the intranet is to quickly consult files.

After logging in, the visitor has access to an overview of all files that are divided into different folders.

Through the homepage of the intranet, the user has the possibility to use the functionalities below.

  • Latest downloads: Overview of the last downloaded files;
  • Language selection: With this language selection the user has the possibility to change the intranet's language;
  • MyAccount: Managing the Intranet account. Through this interface, the user can change his username and/or password.
  • Powerful search engine: Search the entire database with natural language processing and faceted search.

Bulk downloads

The user has the choice to download the file directly, or to add it to the 'My downloads'.

There is a possibility to add multiple files to 'My downloads'. This way, the intranet user has the possibility to easily retrieve the files he needs at that moment in one ZIP file.

In the overview 'My ZIP files' it is possible to download a previously created ZIP file .
