User Experience, or UX for short, is a factor that should not be underestimated when creating a website. A site should not only look good, the whole picture should be right. The right content must be visible in the right place, specifically aimed at the target group you have in mind. So it becomes a complete experience-oriented website.

User Experience Design is therefore essential to achieve your goals. A good user experience gives your visitor a positive feeling. That positive feeling results in satisfied and returning visitors, which increases the step to conversion. And that results in a higher Return on Investment. And that's what we do it all for, isn't it?

We put the 3 UX trends of the moment into practice.

wireframes

1:

First know, then design

To save time when designing a website, it is very important to base yourself on data. That is why we always start with a research phase. On the basis of a thorough analysis, we can perfectly determine where and, above all, where to go. Our research phase includes a full review of the data in Google Analytics, a top tasks survey, SEO analysis and competition analysis.

Based on this we will start developing wireframes. These visual 'sketches' help us, together with the client, to map out the structure of the new website, without really going into detail in terms of layout. By conducting a thorough investigation beforehand and deliberately creating wireframes, we save a lot of time.

2:

Measure and optimize

To optimize the user experience of a website it is very important to measure. How much time does a user spend on the website, how does he/she move around on the site, where does he/she drop out when buying a product... Only by measuring, you will be able to optimize the user flow, and thus increase your ROI.

A handy and versatile tool is Hotjar. Through this tool you can analyze the click and scroll behaviour of your visitors, map the conversion tunnel and ask specific questions to your visitors via a survey or poll.

Did you know?

Besides Hotjar, we also use Google Analytics to measure in detail the results, as well as the conversions (Return On Investment) of the website and campaigns. At the customer's request, the results can be poured into a personalized report, using Google Data Studio.

3:

Personalized Content

We live in a time where dynamic content makes all the difference. We predicted this in 2017 and our prediction is coming true! With dynamic content you can present the right message to the right person. Not only on your website, but also in your news letter or social media pages. By means of cookies, websites know which visitors have already been on the website and what they were interested in.

By analyzing visitor behavior, next time the visitor will only see the content he/she is interested in. This will logically generate more interest from the visitor, which in turn will lead to faster leads and more conversion.

Calibrate developed its own module where, based on parameters, we cast the visitors of a website into certain segments. Based on those parameters, we know what the interests of the visitors are, which enables us to communicate very specifically to them. Since the content of your site is then completely attuned to the expectations of your visitors, the bounce rate will be lowered and the step to conversion will be increased.
